Mormon church President Thomas S. Monson biography to be released Sept. 27

To the Rescue: The Biography of Thomas S. Monson

Deseret Book has announced the official release of LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson's biography Thursday morning at the annual LDS Booksellers Association conference.

Written by award-winning author Heidi S. Swinton, "To The Rescue: The Biography of Thomas S. Monson" will be on sale Sept. 27 and includes dozens of photos spanning President Monson's lifetime of service.

"For more than 140 years, Deseret Book has published many extraordinary books, but few things rise to the level of the biography of a prophet, particularly a living prophet," said Sheri Dew, president and CEO of Deseret Book, in a written statement.

"We are honored to publish this biography at this time, the story of a remarkable man, and the leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."
