Roger Miller has been named chief technology officer for the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. Miller previously was chief information officer and is a 25-year veteran of the organization. His new emphasis will be working on cutting-edge approaches that provide new customer experiences and revenue streams. His previous work includes serving as information technology manager at Landcar Management, where he created the first local area network and coordinated efforts for a common chart of accounts. He also automated the profit improvement analysis report system. Miller's other work includes systems development for Megaplex Theatres including Web ticketing, automated box offices, gift cards and payment systems. Miller handled systems design and development at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele and implemented a radio frequency identification system used to track vehicle inventory. David Carr, meanwhile, has been selected as chief information officer for the organization. As a new addition to the firm, he will focus primarily on enterprise systems, internal company operations and process and performance. Carr previously held executive positions at Omniture doing such things as managing software engineering and product development, client and professional services, company operations, IT and corporate systems. He also has worked as CIO of Discovery Research Group and has been a technical consultant and project manager for start-up businesses, financial firms and government agencies.
Two new urologists have joined Ogden Clinic, which is a full-service, multi-specialty group practice. Dr.Michael Van Bibber, who has had extensive training in general surgery, finished his urology residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. He was raised in Layton. Dr. RobertWayment finished his urology residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Ill. He grew up in West Warren. The two men both received their medical degrees from the University of Utah School of Medicine.
