Kearns kicks off week of fun for 'Hometown Week'

KEARNS – Kearns will kick off its "Hometown Week" on 6 p.m. Saturday, July 31, with a softball tournament between the Unified Police Department and Unified Fire Authority on Gates Field at Kearns High School, 5525 S. Cougar Lane (4800 West). The cost is $2 per person or $7 per family for up to seven family members.

Kearns' Night Out Against Crime with free food and activities is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Utah Olympic Oval, 5662 S. (Cougar Lane) 4800 West.

A beach party with food, games, ice skating and music is at the Oval 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6. The cost is $2 or two cans of nonperishable food for the Kearns Food Bank.

The Fire, Water and Ice Festival with music, activities and fireworks starts at noon Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center and Utah Olympic Oval. Go to www.kopfc.com/Pages/SpecialIndexPages/FireWaterIce.html for information.
