LAS VEGAS — Media Day always seems to deliver its share of bizarre questions to the players. This year's Mountain West Conference gathering didn't disappoint.
Utah participants Brandon Burton and Zane Taylor were both caught off-guard by inquiries from members of the journalism corps.
A radio station asked Burton what kind of insect he might want to be — some sort of fly or a roach. The interviewer then brought up something about roaches being able to survive a nuclear blast of some sort.
Taylor, meanwhile, was asked to give himself a nickname. The muscular offensive lineman quickly suggested "Giant killer."
When asked why, he quipped that he kills giants.
"I don't know," Taylor said. "I couldn't think of anything."
