This was a state that was essentially founded by an organization that believed in "honoring, obeying and sustaining the law." But it is apparent that from the Deseret News' coverage of the illegal immigration issue, the Deseret News believes in honoring, obeying and sustaining only certain laws. Apparently, it is OK for the state Department of Workforce Services to harbor a group of people who are here illegally. But when the whistle-blower brings that to light, the whistle-blower must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The whistle-blower goes to jail, but for the illegals, it's business as usual.
It's been interesting to hear that the DWS does not issue any benefits to illegals, only their children, and everyone knows what a bargain that is. I have many friends who are immigrants; for some, it took years for them to be able to get here, but they all chose to honor, obey and sustain the law. I support Arizona, where the rule of law is still important.
