SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Transit Authority buses and some trains will run on different schedules for Utah's Pioneer Day holiday.
On Friday, there will be no service changes. On Saturday, buses will run on a Sunday schedule. Light rail will also run on a Sunday schedule, with early and late trains to accommodate the Days of '47 parade, fireworks and other festivities.
Saturday morning TRAX:
The first train from Sandy Civic Center station to downtown is at 5:40 a.m.
The first train from the City Center station to Sandy is at 6:23 a.m.
The first train from the Library station to the Medical Center station is at 5:38 a.m.
The first train from the Medical Center to the Library is at 6:03 a.m.
TRAX and the parade:
During the parade, the University line trains will only run between the Library and Medical Center stations. There will be no service to downtown until the parade ends.
During the parade, Sandy lines will end at City Center. There will be no service between the City Center and the Arena stations until the parade ends.
Saturday evening TRAX:
The last train from Salt Lake Central to Sandy is at 11:34 p.m.
The last train from the Medical Center to Sandy is at 11:43 p.m.
The last train from the Sandy Civic Center to downtown is 10:40 p.m.
FrontRunner Commuter Rail will run on a Saturday schedule with an additional early train leaving Ogden at 7:16 a.m. and arriving at Salt Lake Central at 8:07 a.m.
During the parade, there will be no service between Salt Lake Central and the arena stations. UTA will run a free TRAX shuttle between Salt Lake Central and the Arena once an hour for FrontRunner passengers. The train will only go as far as the Arena because of the parade. Passengers wishing to travel further must walk.
