SALT LAKE CITY — The Wasatch Front Regional Council is hosting two open houses about a draft of the Transportation Improvement Program.
The TIP is a six-year plan for how federal and state money will be spent on highways and public transportation. The years of 2011 to 2016 will be examined in the draft TIP.
In addition to viewing the draft, there will be air quality conformity information at the open houses:
- Ogden: The Weber County Government Center's commission breakout room, 2380 Washington Blvd., Aug. 2, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
- Salt Lake City: Salt Lake County Government Center's Atrium North Building, 2001 S. State, Aug. 5, 3-5 p.m.
The WFRC will take comments on the draft now through Aug. 7. Projects on the draft TIP include transit-oriented development in Sandy, an extension of 6200 South in West Valley City, reconstruction of Adams Avenue in Washington Terrace, reconstruction of 200 North in Kaysville, park and ride lots in Tooele and Cottonwood Heights, more vans for the Utah Transit Authority van pool program, intersection improvements to 6200 South, Holladay Boulevard and Bountiful 500 South.
