Another collaboration with Sundance Summer Theatre and Utah Valley University brings a popular musical to base of beautiful Mount Timpanogos.
"Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" is a musical based on the beloved Mark Twain classic. This all-American story takes place as Huck and Jim, a slave and friend, raft down the Mississippi.
A special barbecue is also available prior to the show. Dinner can be purchased along with theater tickets.
"Big River" runs July 30-Aug. 20, Sundance Summer Theater, Sundance Resort. Shows are Mondays and Thursdays through Saturdays, 8 p.m. Tickets for the play are $16-$20; the BBQ dinner is $15 (www.sundanceresort.com).

Get ready to set sail with this Gilbert and Sullivan classic. Captain Corcoran plans to marry off his daughter, Josephine, to the First Lord of the Admiralty. But Corcoran is unaware that she has set her sights on lowly sailor, Ralph Rackstraw.
The production stars Mike Brown, Mariah Carey Richard, Chelsea Baldwin and Cody K. Carlson.

"Cinderella," Murray Arts Council, July 29-Aug. 4, Murray Park Amphitheater, Murray Park.
This is the lush Rodgers and Hammerstein musical version of the tale of Cinderella.
The show stars Andrew Taula, Erika Smith, Sarah McDonald and Alison Jensen.

Fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill sets out to swindle the trusting folks of River City, Iowa, posing as a band teacher.
A true classic and a musical treasure, playwright Meredith Wilson called it "a Valentine to small-town America."
The production features such well-known songs as "76 Trombones," "Good Night My Someone" and "Till There Was You."
