Friday Night Lights (7 p.m., Ch. 5): Tami's job is threatened when Luke's mother makes false accusations against her; Luke goes to extremes to get relief from the pain of his injury.
Whale Wars (7 p.m., Animal Planet): It's not easy being a Sea Shepherd. Last week, Japanese whalers sank one of their ships. This week, another ship has a big water problem, and the helicopter runs into trouble over open water.
And, by the way, the whalers claimed that the Sea Shepherds were to blame for the collision that sank the Ady Gil. Clearly, they're liars. As the footage that aired last week showed, the Ady Gil — nearly out of fuel — wasn't even under way. Crew members were lounging on the deck. And the Japanese vessel turned into the Ady Gil and rammed it. And then sprayed the crew members with a high-powerd water cannon.
I have grave reservations about the Sea Shepherds and their tactics at times. But in this case, the whalers certainly appeared to intentionally sink the Ady Gil and endanger the lives of the Sea Shepherds.
But then they are out there killing whales, so we shouldn't be surprised.
Eureka (7 and 9 p.m., Syfy): An accident infects everyone with blind rage.
Haven (8 and 10 p.m., Syfy): Audrey and Nathan investigate weirdness at the local psychiatric hospital.
Flashpoint (9 p.m., Ch. 2): A vigilante goes to extremes to battle drug dealers.
