GRANTSVILLE — A Grantsville family returned to find their home in flames Wednesday morning,
The fire started just after 9 a.m. at 89 W. Clark St., said Grantsville Police Lt. Steve Barrett.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and knocked down hot spots by noon. The family was not at home at the time and no one was injured, Barrett said.
The fire started in recently renovated part of the home's basement but investigators had not determined exactly how it started. Barrett estimated the home sustained about $30,000-$50,000 in damage.
