Free Sweden, Germany, Italy research series at Family History Library

SALT LAKE CITY — On Aug. 7, the Family History Library is offering an all-day series of classes on Sweden research. The topics include, "Connecting the U.S. Back to Sweden," "Research Strategy Using Swedish Church Records," "Strategy Continued to the Next Generation" and "Internet Resources." Classes will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the main floor classroom of the Family History Library.On Aug. 14, an all-day series of classes on Germany research will be held. The topics include, "What's New in German Internet Research?" "Avoiding Mistakes," "Marriage Laws, Customs and Records," "Using German Church Records" and "Finding Your German Immigrant." Classes will run from 9 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. in the main floor classroom of the Family History Library.

On Aug. 21, an all-day series of classes on Italy research will be held. The topics include; "Basic Research," "Understanding Latin Church Records," "Italian Gazetteer, On Site Research," "Reading Church and Civil Records" and "Research on the Internet." Classes will run from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. in the church museum auditorium next to the Family History Library.

The library is located to the west of Temple Square on West Temple between North Temple and South Temple Streets in downtown Salt Lake City. On Saturdays, parking is free to library patrons and is located behind the Church History Museum.
