OREM — An Orem man was arrested Saturday after police say he entered a home and tried to grope a sleeping woman.
Manuel Juan Lopez, 30, of Orem, was booked for investigation of burglary of a residence. Lopez entered a house near 1200 West and 700 North, grabbed the arm of a woman who was asleep and attempted to inappropriately touch her, according to a police affidavit filed in 4th District Court.
The woman told police she noticed the man standing over her and when she reached for the light, he ran out of the house and hid in some bushes.
Officers discovered Lopez walking near the home about 3 a.m. and was exposing himself, the affidavit states. Behind the home where Lopez admitted he had gone "because something had happened at the neighbor's home," police located a cell phone and three pair of panties the victim said had been taken from her daughter's room, according to the affidavit.
