MILLCREEK — A groundbreaking ceremony for an $18 million community center that will include a library, senior center, workout space, park and café in Millcreek will occur at noon on Wednesday, July 21, at 2230 E. Evergreen Ave (3435 South).
The Millcreek Community Center is expected to open in early 2012. It was designed with considerable input from the community. The center's construction budget is slightly more than $18 million. About $1 million will be provided by the voter-approved Zoo, Arts and Parks program, and the remainder by county bonds.
