SALT LAKE CITY — While being interviewed on Dan Patrick's national radio show last week, Kevin Love was asked if he could name his Minnesota Timberwolves' teammates.
He didn't mention Al Jefferson, of course. The big man is now with Utah.
Love didn't name another big man with Utah ties who's on the T-Wolves roster, either.
Then again, there might be a reason why the up-and-coming star omitted listing Kosta Koufos' name.
As Jazz general manager Kevin O'Connor implied last week after Koufos was traded from Utah in the Jefferson deal, there's no telling how long the 7-foot center will be with Minnesota.
Koufos could, in fact, be heading home.
According to a report in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cavaliers are interested in two players on Minnesota's roster: guard Ramon Sessions and Koufos, a Canton, Ohio, native who played his freshman season at Ohio State.
The Plain Dealer claimed both players are "on the block," and mentioned that the Cavs would be in the market for picking up a big man because Sasha Kaun is likely to continue playing in Russia for now.
The Cleveland paper also reported that the Cavs had talked with the T-Wolves about trading for Jefferson, who joined the Jazz last week to fill the void left by Carlos Boozer's departure.
Minnesota received Koufos and two first-round picks from Utah in exchange for the 6-foot-10 Jefferson.
EYEING JOEY: The Jazz have expressed interest in acquiring free agent small forward Joey Graham, and it's believed he's among several free agents the Jazz would consider signing later this offseason.
Miami and Chicago are a couple more teams interested in snagging Graham away from Denver, according to Fanhouse.com's Chris Tomasson.
PROPS FOR HAYWARD: Jazz newcomer Gordon Hayward was rated as the No. 1 rookie in summer-league play in the online Courtside Analyst's last data-based rankings (as of July 15).
Two players with NBA experience — third-year Memphis center Joey Dorsey and Denver sophomore Ty Lawson — ranked ahead of Hayward overall.
But the Jazz's No. 9 pick in last month's draft was rated ahead of the likes of top pick John Wall (10th), Evan Turner (9th), DeMarcus Cousins (5th), Wesley Johnson (13th) and Derrick Favors (15th) in the rankings that factor in a variety of statistics and results.
