LAYTON — Go-kart races this weekend at Young Chevrolet in Layton will benefit the Davis School District.
The car dealer will set up a track for the Thursday through Saturday event. Members of the local PTA, teachers and families with ties to the school are expected to attend.
The financial climate and significant budget cuts at Davis prompted the company to help.
Go-kart races will cost $5 each and will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday. The event will be held at 645 N. Main in Layton.
