FARMINGTON — The Davis County Commission took time Tuesday to recognize Kevin Rose for receiving the 2010 Public Safety Answering Point Finest Technician Award.

Rose is a deputy/paramedic with the Davis County Sheriff's Office and earned the honor from among more than 350,000 dispatchers nationwide.

The "Finest" awards recognize exceptional performance and contributions to the field of public safety communications. Each year, winners are selected in four "public safety answering point" categories. People are nominated by their public safety peers. Winners are selected by a panel of judges from the public safety industry.

The awards program is sponsored by NICE Systems, a technology and services company.
