SALT LAKE CITY — A 58-year-old man hit by a car while riding a scooter to work Thursday morning has died from his injuries.
Stephen England was traveling south on 200 East just before 8 a.m. when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old woman making a left turn from 200 East onto Social Hall Avenue (50 South), said Salt Lake City police detective Dennis McGowan.
The man was wearing a helmet but suffered multiple serious injuries, McGowan said. The man was taken to a local hospital in extremely critical condition where he died Thursday afternoon.
Citations against the woman were pending Thursday.
