SPRINGVILLE — The city pool will get a bit of polishing, thanks to a Utah County recreation and tourism grant funded through a restaurant tax.

The $16,000 grant received City Council approval Tuesday to pay for a new diving board and the patching of the deck's nonskid surface. It also will pay to heat the dressing rooms, recreation director Chuck Keeler said.

County officials already had approved the grant when it went to the Springville City Council, Keeler said.
