The Modellers, a Utah-based market research firm, has hired several new employees and promoted others. Matt Madden has been chosen as vice president, director of analytics, at the firm. He has previously done consulting work for the World Health Organization on disease research in Africa and assisted numerous conglomerates such as Mattel, Disney and Wells Fargo. Cynthia Sahm has been named a statistical analyst. She previously worked as a data analyst for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Michael Smith has been chosen as senior statistical analyst. He formerly worked for Rolls-Royce and is a 10-year veteran of The Modellers. Ron Whisler has been hired as a statistical analyst. He previously was employed as an analyst for Geoscape International. Matt Poulton also is a statistical analyst and comes to the firm as an award-winning student at BYU. Jeremy Morris also is a statistical analyst at The Modellers, having successfully handled research at the University of Utah funded by the National Science Foundation.
James Willis, a farmer and rancher for family-owned operations near Laketown, Utah, and Cokeville, Wyo., was elected to serve on the board of directors for the Intermountain Farmers Association.
Thomas Barton has been named as a member of the board of directors for the law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy. His practice has focused largely on commercial litigation, labor and employment law.
Jonathan Cohen, the relocation director for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, recently attended the National Relocation Directors Council Conference in Orlando, Fla.
Janelle Connell has been named wellness coach for Educators Mutual Insurance Association, a nonprofit group assisting Utah's public schools and institutions. Her work will involve such things as customizing healthy lifestyle plans to help members with health-related matters.
Steve Hansen has been chosen to be general manager for Electrical Contractors Inc. He will oversee the firm's electrical contracting projects, which will permit the current general manager, Stoney Jensen, to work on special projects.
Rachel Snyder has been hired as an account executive at Telesphere, a national business phone and Internet services provider. She has 11 years of experience in the area of information technology sales.
Michael Clark has been selected to be the new chief executive officer for Logan Regional Hospital. Before coming to Logan Regional hospital in 2005, he worked as executive director of operational services at Kingman Regional Medical Center in Arizona.
