Utah State football: Bingham High star pledges to play for Aggies

Bingham High's Bridger Peck has given Utah State coach Gary Andersen a pledge to sign with the Aggies.

"I want to be a part of the turnaround up there, and I'm really excited about going to Utah State," Peck told the Deseret News shortly after telling Andersen he would be an Aggie. "I've been talking to a lot of the guys up there and have been making some visits. I love it up there and it's where I want to be."

Peck, a senior-to-be who's the cousin of the coach at the Utah high school juggernaut Bingham High Miners, is a two-way player in high school but said he will be an outside linebacker when he enrolls at USU.

Listed as 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds with a 4.5 40 time by scout.com, Peck is one of the top recruits in the state.

"Coach Andersen said I'd be a big part of what happens up there," Peck said. "I really like the coaches and the school. It's a place I've always felt good at."

Though he is LDS, Peck said he was unsure if he would serve a church mission.
