KAYSVILLE — Goldenwest Federal Credit Union opened its newest branch Wednesday, at 131 W. 200 North.
The new branch brings the total number of locations to 18 for the 74-year-old credit union. Goldenwest has more than 80,000 members and holds more than $778 million in assets, according to a news release from the credit union.
Goldenwest's corporate headquarters are in Ogden, with 18 branches located throughout Weber, Davis, Morgan, Salt Lake, Utah and Washington counties.
"We have received an incredible welcome from the residents in the Kaysville area," said Shelley B. Clarke, Goldenwest's president and chief executive officer. "This new office allows us to better serve our members in Kaysville and the surrounding communities and welcome new members to our credit union family."
Grand-opening events included a marching band and a ribbon-cutting. The credit union will continue with grand-opening events throughout July. Credit union members and non-members alike may visit the new office for a tour Thursday through Saturday. While there, they can enter to win dozens of prizes and enjoy free hot dogs, popcorn and Pepsi.
