ANTELOPE ISLAND STATE PARK — An Antelope Island event has a new name and will feature some nationally known entertainers this year.
The Antelope Island Stampede Festival, formerly the Balloon and Kite Stampede, will take place Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3-5.
In addition to hot-air balloons and kites, the event will feature vendors and food, as well as local entertainment. American rock band Eve 6 will perform at 9 p.m. Sept. 3 at the main stage, with fireworks, and country band Sawyer Brown will perform at the main stage at 9 p.m. Sept. 4.
A $10 ticket per carload covers the entrance to the island and all activities except the two concerts. Tickets to both concerts are available through Smith'sTix.
