PAYSON — An 11-year-old boy has died after a car he was working on Friday fell and crushed him.
Jordan Petersen died Monday at Primary Children's Medical Center, said Payson Police Lt. Bill Wright.
Petersen was working under a car with his 16-year-old brother when the car fell off a jack, pinning him, Wright said. Petersen was taken to the hospital after bystanders jacked up the car and freed him. He suffered fatal head and chest injuries.
His family is accepting donations to help with medical and funeral expenses. An account has been set up at the Nebo School District Credit Union under the name Jordan Petersen.
