Pilot injured in ultralight aircraft crash

EAGLE MOUNTAIN — The pilot of an ultralight airplane was injured Saturday when he crashed near Cedar Valley Airport, a dispatch official said.

The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. The pilot was the only one on board the aircraft when it went down about 500 yards south of the airport.

After the crash, the pilot was able to call 911. A dispatch official said the man was flown to a hospital by medical helicopter in unknown condition.
