SALT LAKE CITY — Nine Utah women on the board of the Women Tech Council were recognized Wednesday in the vSpring Capital Top 100 list as entrepreneurs most likely to lead successful start-ups in bio-tech and information technology fields.
Honorees were Amy Rees Anderson, founder of MediConnect Clobal Inc.; Carine Strom Clark, chief executive officer of Symantec; Deborah Eppstein, president of Q Therapeutics; Vicki Farrar, chief executive officer of Catheter Connections Inc.; Rachel Herrscher, co-founder of TodaysMama.com; Maile Keone, vice president of marketing for VacationRoost; Cherly Snapp Conner, managing partner of Snapp Conner PR; Cydni Tetro, director of Women Tech Council; and Nicole Toomey Davis, director of the Center of Excellence in the Governor's Office of Economic Development.
The v100 list was created in 2004 by vSpring Capital, which is an early-stage venture capital firm that targets information technology and life sciences companies headquartered in the Rocky Mountain region.
Women Tech Council was founded in 2007 to advocate for women owning or working in technology companies. The Salt Lake City-based group provides sponsorship opportunities and support, according to a media release.
