BASEBALL: C.J. Cron earned his third All-America honor on Wednesday, as he was named to the Pro-Line Athletic National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-America team as its first-team designated hitter.
The sophomore has also earned first-team All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball newspaper and Ping!Baseball.
Cron had previously been selected as the NCBWA's District VIII Player of the Year and named as a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy.
The Mountain West Conference Player of the Year and MWC All-Tournament team member leads the nation with 1.65 RBI per game and ranks fifth nationally in slugging percentage (.817).
Cron is hitting .379 with 31 home runs and 139 RBI for his career. Last year he was a Freshman All-American and the MWC Freshman of the Year.
