BOUNTIFUL — A free outdoor "Family Encounters of the Art Kind" event will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 21, at the Bountiful Davis Art Center, 745 S. Main.
The event will feature Project 337's Art Truck of the Salt Lake Art Center.
The truck is a mobile art exhibit that will be featuring the graphic art of Trent Hall on the exterior and an interactive installation art exhibit by Pam Bowman inside. In addition, the Bountiful Davis Art Center will provide a hands-on art project for visitors to work on and take home, weather permitting.

Between a horse, kittens and five baby ducks trapped, rescuers were kept busy but saved all the animals.

In search of a Memorial Day column, I wandered into Memory Grove (who said columnists can't grasp the obvious?) and as I walked by the various war monuments, I came upon the best-looking structure there: the Meditation Chapel, which might have been transplanted straight from Athens.
