CEDAR CITY (AP) — The Southern Utah University Board of Trustees has approved increasing ticket prices to the Utah Shakespearean Festival.
Ticket prices will increase by $3 in certain seating areas. Based on revenue from 2009 attendance, the more expensive tickets are expected to increase revenue in 2011 by more than $380,000.
The new revenue will go toward facilities management and repairs.
The 10-member governing body of Southern Utah University has the primary responsibility to facilitate communication between the institution and the community. As a collaborative partner with the festival, the SUU trustees have the final approval over certain administrative decisions of the professional theater.
