Utah Utes' C.J. Cron named District VII Player of the Year

DENTON, Texas — Utah baseball player C.J. Cron has been selected as the District VIII Player of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America, joining a growing list of awards for the sophomore standout.

Cron has earned first-team All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball newspaper and Ping!Baseball. The Mountain West Conference Player of the Year leads the nation with 1.65 RBIs per game and ranks fifth nationally in slugging percentage (.817).
