Log Haven's "Dog Days of Summer" gives people a chance to dine with their dog. Guests with well-behaved dogs are seated in Log Haven's outdoor amphitheater from 5:30-7 p.m., where they can order from the seasonal menu. Complimentary Dog's Meow natural dog biscuits and water dishes are provided for the dogs.

Savor the Summit takes place in Park City June 19. Highlight is the Grande Table, with dining tables seating more than 1,200 set out on Main Street. Dinner reservations can be made with individual participating restaurants (www.savorthesummit.com or 435-565-3812).

Harmons Grocery Stores are selling bratwursts Fridays and Saturdays through June 19 to raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Utah Chapter. Customers can buy brats or hot dogs, with chips and bottled water, for $3, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. The community can contribute at the stores' cash registers.

Wing Nutz Restaurants are sponsoring a "My Dad Is Nutz" competition for Father's Day. Two dads will receive the title of Certified Wing Nutz Father of the Year and win a year's supply of chicken wings and Pepsi products. People can enter a 100-word hand-written essays, on contest forms available at www.bakedwingsarebetter.com or store locations in Draper, Ogden, Orem, South Jordan and St. George. Deadline is June 14.

The 2010 Downtown Farmers Market at Pioneer Park opens June 12, at 300 South and 300 West. The market features fresh produce from more than 80 Utah farmers and a variety of locally produced breads, pastries, cheeses, meats, jams, honey, beverages, house and garden plants, and handmade arts and crafts. The market will take place Saturday mornings, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., and Tuesday evenings August-October (www.slcfarmersmarket.org).

"Around the World in Seven Days" is a fundraiser hosted by local restaurants June 14-20. During the week prior to World Refugee Day on June 20, the restaurants will offer a nightly special created by the restaurant's chef and a refugee community leader. When the dish is ordered, the restaurant will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Utah Refugee Coalition and its joint Salt Lake County Pathways to Self Sufficiency program.
