WEST VALLEY CITY — A 16-year-old boy was stabbed a dozen times early Sunday in a church parking lot.
Someone found the teen collapsed on the sidewalk and covered in blood near 3500 South and 6400 West around 5 a.m., according to West Valley Police Sgt. Paul Gill. He was flown to University Hospital and was in critical but stable condition Sunday afternoon.
As police accompanied the boy to a landing area for the helicopter at the nearby church, they found blood and items of clothing in the parking lot, where they believe the stabbing occurred.
No weapon was found, and there are no suspects, Gill said. The teen has been unable so far to talk with police.
