STERLING, Idaho — An Orem woman died early Saturday when her car rolled in southern Idaho.
Idaho State Police identified the woman as Gigi Elegante, 47.
At about 3:10 a.m., Elegante apparently was driving south on a road near Sterling, not far from Pocatello, when her car went off the left side of the road, said Idaho State Police trooper Marcus Graham.
The vehicle then over-corrected, crossed both lanes again and came to rest on the right side of the road, Graham said.
Elegante was not wearing a seatbelt. She was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, according to a police statement.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
