The Salt Lake Valley Health Department has kicked off its summer community collection to help Salt Lake County residents correctly dispose of household hazardous waste.
The service is free of charge. This year, the health department will also accept electronic waste — including old computers, TVs and mobile phones — in addition to traditional household waste products such as paint, antifreeze, oil, or pesticides.
For more information, call 801-313-6745, or visit www.slvhealth.org.
The department has scheduled the following days for residents to drop off their hazardous waste from 7:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m.:
June 3, July 1 and Aug. 5 in Draper at Galena Park, located at 12452 S. Galena Park Blvd. (550 West),
June 10, July 8, Aug. 12 and Sept. 9 at Sandy Public Works, located at 8775 S. 700 West,
