OGDEN — The Ogden Arts Festival will take place 6-9 p.m. June 11 and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. June 12 at Ogden's Union Station, the Union Station Plaza and 25th Street.
More than 70 local and regional artists will display their works at the seventh annual festival.
The event is free and will feature artist booths, food vendors, live performances on multiple stages and kids ARTivities. The Union Station will feature artwork from the Plein Air Paint-Out, Plein Air Quick Draw and the Weber County High School Art Competition. Short films by the Foursite Film Institute will be presented throughout the festival in the Union Station's Browning Theatre.
The Paint-Out and Quick Draw competitions feature artists given a day-and-a-half to paint a local landmark/scene, frame their piece and return it for judging. Pieces will be available for purchase at the silent auction at 5 p.m. June 12 in the grand lobby. Artists interested in participating in the competition must call 801-941-6451.
The free ARTivities program, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. June 12, allows children to create and decorate a treasure box, a wooden dinosaur or a bird mask.
Foursite Film Institute will present a feature film and its awards ceremony at "Dinner and a Movie" at 7 p.m. June 11. The cost is $10. Tickets are available at www.foursitefilmfest.com or at the door. Films will run free of charge all day June 12.
Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. June 12. Admission is $10, with tickets available by calling 801-467-8499 or 800-888-8499.
