Salt Lake City NAWBO chapter honors award winners
SALT LAKE CITY — Gretta Spendlove, a partner with Durham Jones & Pinegar, has been named the Woman Business Leader of the Year by the Salt Lake City chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
The award is intended to recognize an individual who has shown solid leadership in managing and expanding a successful business that is at least 3 years old, while also sharing skills and information with the community through volunteer work and other civic activities.
She and other NAWBO award-winners will be honored at a banquet at 6:30 p.m. June 16 at the Marriott University Park Hotel. To register, go to www.nawboslc.org by June 9. For more information, contact office@nawboslc.org.
The event is being sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank.
NAWBO also has given Amanda Moxley of Amanda Moxley LLC its Rising Star Award. This is intended to honor a person who has shown creativity and determination in launching and sustaining a business than is less than 3 years old.
The honorees for Woman Business Owner of the Year are Pam Epperson of Utah Animal Care Center Inc. and Julie Jakob of Jakob Marketing Partners LLC. The Rising Star honoree for this year is Janice Boes of Pierpont Place and Premier Corporate Events.
