PROVO — No more city employees will be laid off in the wake of falling city revenues.
Provo officials said Tuesday that enough employees had accepted voluntary severance packages to avoid any more layoffs beyond the six previously announced.
The jobs were eliminated to help the city trim $4 million from the budget for the 2010-11 fiscal year. As of Tuesday, 15 workers had left the city, and six more will leave by June 10. About 20 other positions were eliminated through attrition, reducing the city work force by 47 over the past year.
