SARATOGA SPRINGS — A hospital could be in Saratoga Springs' future.
The City Council passed a resolution this week authorizing and assigning Mayor Mia Love to request that Intermountain Healthcare build a hospital in Saratoga Springs as soon as possible.
Intermountain already has purchased 40 acres of land along state Route 73 to build a medical complex — including a full-service hospital.
More than 67,000 people live within five miles of the property, and nearly 92,000 live within the municipal boundaries of Saratoga Springs. The nearest hospital is in American Fork.
