GRANTSVILLE — The Memorial Day weekend got off to a rocky start Saturday for three West Jordan children injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident in Tooele County.
A medical helicopter transported two children from North Willow Canyon, with the third taken to a hospital by ambulance, said Tooele County sheriff's deputy Keith Borders.
All three children were under the age of 16 and apparently were thrown from the ATV when they took a turn to fast, Borders said.
The accident occurred just before 11 a.m. on a road in North Willow Canyon near Grantsville, Borders said.
The children all sustained relatively minor injuries, he said.
