OREM — Photos and other memorabilia from the early years of the 54-year-old Orem High School are still being sought for a time capsule to be placed in the new high school building scheduled to take its place next year.
Thursday morning, students placed the time capsule into the cornerstone of the new school. Friday is the last day of school, and some time this summer, the old school will be razed.
Jonathan Stevens, who will be senior next year, said the time capsule won't be bricked over for several weeks. Stevens is still collecting photos to accompany the 2010 yearbook, 1956 school dedication program and various DVDs and CDs that have been placed in the time capsule so far.
Anyone who has pictures to donate is asked to call Stevens at 801-607-1531.
