EAGLE MOUNTAIN — Residents in this northwest Utah County city are planning to honor the service of military veterans with a little service of their own.
Eagle Mountain will hold its second annual volunteer work day from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the cemetery of Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 Camp Williams Road.
Volunteers and local Boy Scouts will weed, mow and trim around headstones and plant flowers and trees that have been donated to the city. Hundreds of people are expected to participate.
Free hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided for volunteers.
