Real Salt Lake: Kyle Beckerman has strained foot tendon

Real Salt Lake captain Kyle Beckerman has a strained tendon in his left foot, an MRI revealed Monday afternoon.

Beckerman, who sustained the injury during the first half of RSL's 2-1 win at Chivas last Saturday, will be further evaluated on Wednesday.

He's currently listed as "doubtful" for Real's home match against Kansas City this Saturday.

Beckerman injured the peroneal tendon, which starts along the bottom of the foot, near the tarsal bones, and runs around the ankle and up the leg.
