PROVO — BYU's football program has picked up a verbal commitment from a high school linebacker.
Lene Lesatele, a 6-foot-2, 230-pounder from Gahr High in Cerritos, Calif., committed Thursday to coach Bronco Mendenhall, according to totalbluesports.com. He also had scholarship offers from Washington, Hawaii, Air Force and Nevada.
Lesatele becomes the ninth player to commit to the Cougars as part of their 2011 recruiting class.
