TREMONTON — A Colorado woman who was driving with her three young children died when her pick-up truck rolled on Interstate 84 west of Tremonton Wednesday afternoon.
The 23-year-old woman from Meecker, Colo., was driving west on I-84 about 3 p.m. when the vehicle veered into the center median and swerved back onto the highway before the woman lost control and the truck rolled back into the median, Utah Highway Patrol troopers said.
UHP trooper Cameron Roden said Lindy Jai Lane Ross wasn't wearing a seat belt but remained inside the vehicle with her three children. Ross was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials believe the woman may have dozed off or become distracted.
The children — a 4-year-old boy, a 2-year-old girl and a 9-month-old boy — were all secured in the vehicle and received only minor injuries.
