LEHI — Cornbelly's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Fest at Thanksgiving Point will celebrate its 15th birthday in October.
And what could be a better present for Utah's original corn maze that every year features a different picture than a design from one lucky Utahn?
"It's hard to believe that it's been 15 years since we created our first corn maze here in Utah," said Brett Herbst, founder of Cornbelly's and The MAiZE Inc. "As we've thought about a design special enough to commemorate this milestone, we felt like the best thing we could do was put the decision into the hands of those who've supported us all these years."
The corn is nearly ready for planting, and Cornbelly's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Fest is asking Utahns to submit their design for this year's maze. Entries should be uploaded onto Cornbelly's Facebook wall at www.facebook.com/CornbellysFanPage by May 21.
Cornbelly's is the largest corn maze company in the world, and for 15 years the maze at Thanksgiving Point has featured something of special interest to Utahns.
The winner will receive a 2010 Cornbelly's season pass for a family of four, a Thanksgiving Point property family membership, an announcement of the winning concept to local media and an invitation to the VIP "sneak peek" of the maze via helicopter.
