Genola may bond to fix roads

GENOLA, Utah County — Town leaders may bond for up to $550,000 for as long as 10 years to fix deteriorating roads.

The bonds would be paid back from class C road funds, which come from the state.

Town officials want to get estimates on what it would cost to fix all the roads in the rural community now, while construction costs are down.

"We can do it this year while the costs are low and get it done," Genola Town Councilman Craig Coleman said.
