Deadlines approach for Bountiful Handcart Days events

BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful Handcart Days 2010 organizers are calling for participants in the annual pioneer festival's parade and arts show.

The deadline for marching bands to register to participate in the July 23 parade is May 20. For other organizations, a $50 fee is required, and the deadline is June 25.

For the festival's arts and crafts show, entries may be submitted June 18-19 at the Bountiful Davis Art Center, 745 S. Main.

Entry forms for the parade and the arts and crafts show are available online at www.handcartdays.org.

This year marks the 60th grand parade. Other Handcart Days events include activities at Bountiful City Park, fireworks at Mueller Park Junior High School and tours of historical Bountiful.
