FRESNO, Calif. — The Bees took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but Fresno scored the next 10 runs as the Grizzlies rolled to a 12-4 win over Salt Lake on Sunday afternoon.
Cory Aldridge put the Bees in front with his sixth home run of the season, but Fresno's Buster Posey belted a three-run shot off of Salt Lake starter Marco Albano to put the Grizzlies ahead permanently.
Albano (0-5) took the loss as he allowed nine runs on eight hits in 4 1?3 innings with four walks and two strikeouts.
Fresno starter Joe Martinez (3-0) got the win as he bested Albano, his roommate for two years at Boston College.
Aldridge's home run was his sixth of the season and it gave him a league-leading 27 runs batted in.
He has now driven in a run in four consecutive games. Brian Walker had two hits for the Bees with two RBIs, while Carlos Colmenares added a double and one RBI.
With the defeat, the Bees fell to 1-2 on the series with the Grizzlies. Salt Lake will have one more game in Fresno before returning home Tuesday for an eight-game homestand.
