SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Saratoga Springs Police Department will sponsor a Special Olympics Torch Run for north Utah County at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 27.
The event begins at the Saratoga Springs police station.
This event is open to anyone who wants to show support by walking, jogging, running or even skipping the 3.1 miles from Saratoga Springs to Lehi's Vets Park. The cost is $12, which includes a 2010 Torch Run T-shirt.
A truck with Special Olympics athletes on board will lead the runners through the city.
