BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT
PARK CITY — The fifth annual Building Balance Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the Jeremy Golf and Country Club on Monday, May 24.
All proceeds from the charity golf event will benefit the Children's Justice Center tor Summit and Wasatch Counties, located in Heber City. The Park City Board of Realtors Philanthropic Foundation and affiliate members are the tournament hosts.
Jeremy Ranch is donating the golf course for the event in order to increase the net proceeds donated to the CJC. The tournament is expected to raise upward of $20,000 and will be made up of 36 teams, totaling 144 players, in a scramble format, beginning with a shotgun start at approximately 11:30 a.m.
According to the Children's Justice Center, Utah is the 10th highest state in proven cases of child abuse. The effects of sexual abuse cost Utah an estimated $1.5 billion each year for investigations, prosecutions, the juvenile justice system, medical care and counseling, special education and incarcerations.

BOXING FUNDRAISER SET
SANDY — The fifth annual Fullmer Brothers Golden Gloves Golf Tournament to raise money for Utah's Golden Gloves amateur boxing program will be held Friday, May 21, at the River Oaks course.
Play begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m., with lunch and awards to follow. Participants will have a chance to rub shoulders with former world middleweight boxing champion Gene Fullmer and his brothers, Jay and Don.
Fullmer Brothers Boxing Gym helps many at-risk youths build better traits such as discipline, nutrition, fitness, integrity and service.
Team entry fee is $500, and individual entry fee is $125.

SALT LAKE CITY — Two meetings are scheduled today that will be of interest to big-game hunters and boating enthusiasts.
The number of antlerless big game permits available for hunts in Utah this fall are among the items members of the Utah Wildlife Board are expected to approve at their 9 a.m. meeting at the Department of Natural Resources' boardroom, 1594 W. North Temple.
