MILLCREEK — It wasn't hard for a business here to identify a man accused of stealing one of their laptop computers.
Just after 6 p.m. Monday, a man wearing a ski mask walked into Serenity of Murray, 545 E. 4500 South, took a laptop that a female employee was working on, and ran, said Unified Police Lt. Don Hutson. The woman chased after the man, and in the parking lot, he took off his mask. The man turned out to be a former employee, Hutson said.
Later Monday night, the Metro Gang Unit held surveillance on the man's house near 4100 S. Redwood Road. A vehicle stopped by to pick up the man and another female. That vehicle was pulled over near 4700 South and 2700 West, the man was arrested and the computer recovered, Hutson said.
Mickey Neighbors, 19, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of felony theft. In March, Neighbors was charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and criminal mischief, according to Utah court records.
